Frequently asked questions

Where are my prayers stored?

Your personal prayers are private. Without sign-in they stay on your device. With Sign in with Apple, secure cloud sync stores them in Firebase under your user ID so the app and website can share the same journal.

Do I need to create an account?

For private cloud sync, use Sign in with Apple. Apple handles the sign-in, and Firebase gives Answered a private user ID for your journal.

How do the daily verses and prayer reminders work?

You can enable up to three gentle notifications a day in Settings — a morning prayer time, a midday verse, and an evening prayer time. Each carries an encouraging scripture. You choose the times, and you can turn them off anytime.

What is the community feed?

It's an optional place to share how God answered a prayer and to encourage others with replies. You can post anonymously. It's separate from your private journal — nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.

How is the community kept safe?

Posts and replies pass through a content filter, you must accept the community guidelines before posting, and every post can be reported or its author blocked. Reported content is hidden and reviewed within 24 hours.

How do I report content or a user?

Tap the ••• menu on any testimony to report it or block its author. You can also email us at the address below and we'll act within 24 hours.

How do I delete my data?

Your private prayers: delete them in the app with Settings → Delete all prayers. Community posts: open your testimony and choose Delete. To request removal of anything else, email us.
